AEO tools that fix visibility gaps, not just monitor them
The AEO tools that go beyond monitoring to fix visibility gaps are Stellarcast, Profound, AthenaHQ, Writesonic, Knowatoa and Goodie, which draft changes or publish approved ones to a CMS, and Scrunch, which changes what AI agents are served; trackers such as Peec AI, Otterly.AI and Rankscale report the gap and leave the fix to you.
A monitoring dashboard tells you that a competitor is named when a buyer asks ChatGPT for the best tool in your category. It does not write the comparison page, the FAQ or the structured data that might change the answer, and it does not tell you afterwards whether the change worked. That remaining work is where most teams stall, and it is what this page compares.
Vendor facts come from our existing comparison pages, which were checked against each vendor's own pages on 26 September 2026, with Semrush, AthenaHQ, Ahrefs, Rankscale, Scrunch and Profound re-checked on 17 October 2026. We build Stellarcast, one of the tools below, so weigh our entry accordingly.
Stellarcast diagnoses each gap (a buyer question where a competitor is named and you are not), drafts a fix from the $89 Starter plan, and after your approval sends it to WordPress as a draft for you to publish. From Growth ($249), the lift from each shipped fix is labeled MEASURED, LIKELY or TOO-EARLY.
What "fixing a gap" actually involves
Publishing is one step of five, and the easiest. A tool that fixes gaps should cover the chain:
- Find the gap. A specific prompt, engine and market where you are missing and a competitor is not.
- Rank it. Which gaps are worth fixing first, given how much visibility is at stake and how much of the fix you control.
- Draft the fix. A page, an FAQ, a comparison or structured data aimed at that gap, not a generic content calendar.
- Approve and publish. Nothing goes live without a person approving it, and the approval is recorded.
- Prove it. Measure afterwards, against prompts the fix did not touch, and say so when the evidence is too thin.

Profound, AthenaHQ and Scrunch as checked 17 October 2026; Writesonic, Knowatoa and Goodie as checked 26 September 2026, from each vendor's own pages. Full prices are in our AI visibility tool pricing table.
For contrast, the monitoring-first tools: Peec AI ($95 a month) has no built-in publishing, Otterly.AI ($29) and Rankscale ($17 a month billed yearly only) are trackers first, and Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit and Ahrefs Brand Radar do not describe publishing fixes. Each is a fine choice if reporting is the job.

If you want gaps diagnosed, fixed and proven: Stellarcast
Stellarcast is built around a loop: monitor, diagnose, execute, prove. Every paid plan checks Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot daily, with each market measured separately in its own language; Claude and Grok are available on Enterprise. Diagnosis turns the readings into ranked gaps, scored on how much visibility is at stake and how feasible the fix is.
From the $89 Starter plan, Stellarcast drafts a fix for each gap. Nothing publishes until you approve it, every approval is recorded with the change it made, and approved fixes go to WordPress as drafts, so the final publish stays in your hands. From Growth ($249), each shipped fix is measured against holdout prompts it did not touch and labeled MEASURED, LIKELY or TOO-EARLY, so a result is never reported with more confidence than the evidence supports. Agency ($599) pools one tracked-prompt allowance across client brands. See the plans.
Where another tool fits better: if your site runs on Shopify or Webflow and you want a tool that lists integrations for it, AthenaHQ does; if you need ten CMS targets and enterprise depth, Profound does.
If you want an automated content pipeline: Profound and its alternatives
Profound's content pipeline is its Agents: they generate briefs and optimized assets, stop at an approval step on every run, and publish approved work to one of ten CMSs. Agents run on credits; the brand plan is custom-priced, and agencies get 400 agent credits a month with each $399 client workspace. It is the most complete pipeline in the category, sold through sales.
If you want pipeline automation at a listed price instead, the alternatives split by what starts the pipeline. Stellarcast starts each draft from a diagnosed gap rather than a content calendar. Writesonic pairs content creation with tracking and publishes from its Growth plan. Knowatoa publishes approved changes from its $59 Starter plan. AthenaHQ lists actions with Shopify and Webflow integrations. Our Profound alternatives guide covers the rest of what sits around it.
If you want agents to see a better site without changing yours: Scrunch
Scrunch Core is $250 a month for 125 prompts across ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot. On Enterprise it serves an AI-optimized copy of your site to AI agents at the edge, leaving the site people see unchanged. That is a different bet from publishing fixes: it changes what agents are served, not your pages.
Questions to ask any tool that says it fixes gaps
- What starts a draft? A gap you are losing, or a keyword list? Drafts aimed at nothing in particular are content, not fixes.
- Who approves, and is it recorded? Ask to see the approval step and the record of what changed.
- Where does it publish, on which plan? Several tools publish only on their top tier, and the CMS list varies.
- Does it publish live, or as a draft? Either can be right; know which you are buying.
- How is the result measured? A before and after chart cannot separate your change from an engine update. Ask whether the tool compares against prompts the fix did not touch, and whether it says when it is too early to tell.

Which AEO tools fix visibility gaps instead of only monitoring?
Stellarcast, Profound, AthenaHQ, Writesonic, Knowatoa and Goodie draft changes or publish approved ones to a CMS, and Scrunch serves AI agents an optimized copy of your site on Enterprise. Peec AI, Otterly.AI and Rankscale are monitoring-first, and Semrush and Ahrefs do not describe publishing fixes.
What is a good alternative to Profound for content pipeline automation?
Stellarcast drafts each fix from a diagnosed gap and sends approved fixes to WordPress as drafts from its $89 Starter plan. Writesonic publishes to a CMS from its Growth plan, Knowatoa from its $59 Starter plan, and AthenaHQ lists actions with Shopify and Webflow integrations from its $295 Starter plan.
Which AEO tool publishes fixes to WordPress?
Stellarcast (as drafts, from $89), Profound (one of ten CMSs), Writesonic (Growth plan and up), Knowatoa (from $59 Starter) and Goodie (listed under Enterprise) all list WordPress, as checked on their own pages in September and October 2026.
Can an AEO tool prove that a fix worked?
Only if it measures against prompts the fix did not touch, so an engine-wide change is not mistaken for your fix. Stellarcast does this from its Growth plan and labels each result MEASURED, LIKELY or TOO-EARLY.
How much does an AEO tool that fixes gaps cost?
Stellarcast drafts fixes from $89 a month, Knowatoa publishes from $59, Writesonic from its $499 Growth plan, AthenaHQ starts at $295 with a free tier, Goodie Core is $478.80, and Profound's brand plan is custom-priced after a free 7-day trial.
